The new Events Centre in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour precinct has quickly become a key venue for large exhibitions and conferences. Its location on a platform over the Waitemata Harbour came with challenges however, installing the essential cabling meant working off floating pontoons and coping with the vagaries of weather and tidal changes. Not the normal working conditions for technicians installing sophisticated electronic infrastructure.
The Data Pacific Team successfully navigated this challenge and in addition to running Information & Communications Technology cabling {ICT} cabling to the required locations, we installed a state-of- the-art security system. This encompasses IP CCTV cameras both internally and atop lighting poles around the perimeter, whilst also encompassing the operation of the unique lifting foot bridge, Gallagher access control & Intruder system complete with an Audio Video intercom system providing leading edge technology for this innovative building.
The result is an iconic building that looks great, delivers an operational IT & Security platform demanded for a public multi-use facility.
